AQA is one of the key Education projects of ArRahma Foundation. It is a daily after school and weekends Maktab, teaching a unique Islamic Studies Foundation programme, for children from the age of 5 to 15 years of age.
A Maktab (aka Kuttaab) is an institute of daily elementary Islamic Education for Muslim children. Over the centuries it had a pivotal role in functioning as a lifeline to the preservation and protection of the Islamic faith. AQA functions as a Maktab wholly focussed in fulfilling this essential need of the Muslim community. It utilises a structured, theologically sound and comprehensive curriculum that includes teaching of Qur’an with Tajweed, a wide range of core Islamic Studies subjects, the Arabic language (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) and also Tahfeedh (memorisation of the Qur’an).
It aims to develop learners into upright and informed Muslims who will be a source of benefit to themselves, their families and the wider community. It gives a sense of belonging to a wider brotherhood of the Ummah. It forges a distinct Muslim identity and helps insulate them from hypocrisy and disbelief.
